A food-ordering app organised to move from discovery to menu choice and delivery status without losing context.
Tavolo is an app design study for browsing restaurants and ordering food on a mobile device. The experience has several connected tasks: finding an option, understanding a menu, building an order and checking its progress. The interface uses image-led discovery, clear category cues and repeated action patterns to make those stages feel continuous. A warm visual language gives the product character, while consistent cards, navigation and status components preserve usability across browsing, selection and tracking screens.

What makes a food-ordering flow clear?
A clear ordering flow keeps location, choice, price and progress visible at the points where each decision matters.
The design begins with discovery but does not treat it as an isolated gallery. Restaurant and food imagery is paired with compact information that helps a user compare options before entering a menu.
Tasks and flows
The screen sequence moves through browse, restaurant detail, menu, order and tracking. Actions remain close to the content they affect, reducing the need to remember selections across disconnected steps.
Navigation changes with the task while retaining shared visual cues, helping the user understand both the current state and the route back.
The interface system
Warm colour, photography and rounded content fields establish an approachable product character. Clear type roles and consistent action treatments keep that character from weakening functional hierarchy.
Status and map elements extend the same UI language into the post-order experience, where reassurance and progress become more important than discovery.
What Tavolo demonstrates
Commerce flows become trustworthy when each stage confirms what has happened and what comes next. Tavolo demonstrates how discovery, ordering and tracking can share one visual system while serving different user needs.
